The grass isn't always greener
I've stayed at Adelaide House on a couple of occasions, but during my last stay i didn't appreciate the support and left much too soon. Not long after leaving i found myself in trouble again and returned to prison. At the first opportunity, i contacted my probation officer and told her that i shouldn't have left Adelaide and begged me to get another chance.
This time i am trying to prove that i appreciate the support by doing well.
All of the staff are really nice and polite. It's a good house, it's not like a hostel, it's comfortable, clean and you do your own washing.
The staff help you sort out your benefits, Doctors, Dentist and can help you to work on your English and Maths.
We have pamper evenings, film nights and other activities to keep us occupied.
I've learnt that the grass isn't always greener.
