Donate and Support Our Work
Adelaide House Approved Premises (LDCSA) is a registered charity number 221709
Time moves on but upon reflection the fundamental issues which effect womens lives change very little as the enclosed advert taken from the Liverpool Post newspaper in 1934 effectively demonstrates.
We find ourselves in 2020, some 86 years later working with a very similar group of adult women facing very similar social issues related to offending, addiction, domestic violence, poor health, unemployment and lack of secure accommodation. Much the same as those women of Liverpool faced in 1934 and in many ways those girls and young women way back in the early days of the charity in 1823.
The fundamental aims of Adelaide House Woman's Approved Premise have not changed either and we continue to strive to provide an enabling environment and place of change which effectively meets the needs of the women we work with and the Liverpool community we serve.
Please give generously and help us in our vision to expand and extend our residential services enabling us to work with more women in the community and contribute to a reduction in the number of women in prison who do not need to be there.
Our vision is a £3 million New Build Extension - the plans for which are featured above. If you would like to support our work and the women we aim to move on to a better life.
